Consultant Pharmacist
Part-time pharmacy professional with excellent communication skills wanted to be involved in an innovative Best Practice initiative. Five years experience as a pharmacy manager in a hospital or other setting with experience in academic detailing to physicians preferred. Pharmacist degree preferred. Pharmacist must be willing to travel to the physician’s office to conduct the academic detailing visit. Pharmacists needed in the following geographical areas: Gainesville, Orlando, Miami, Tampa Bay and some areas of Georgia. Most physicians will be located in or within several hours of the named locations, however, some visits may fall in various areas around the state of Florida and Georgia that could require travel and overnights. Excellent compensation and training provided.
Project Description:
Each clinical pharmacist will receive:
- A list of targeted physicians receiving the twenty-minute face-to-face consult to share ideas on how to optimally utilize atypical antipsychotics and other behavioral health drugs.
- Training and support materials on how to conduct a successful academic detailing intervention will be provided.
- Goal of conducting and documenting 10-15 academic detailing visits per month for the length of the project (approximately six months)
- Compensation on a per intervention basis. An intervention consists of:
- scheduling an appointment with the physician,
- traveling to the appointment
- meeting with the physician
- documenting and submitting the intervention in a timely manner.

Customer Service Representative
Position Summary:
Handles inbound customer service calls which includes interviewing customers, handling their requests/concerns, forwarding the customer if necessary to the appropriate area and documenting the call in the account management system. Manages the existing customer subscriptions as assigned securing renewal contracts and up sells of additional products, and offers support to sales reps by providing training to existing customers, building and maintaining relationships with existing customer base in order to solicit sale of new or additional services.
Requirements:
- Good organizational, analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to staff members at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Understanding of web technologies and familiar with HTML and XML
- Experience in health care environment/pharmacy a plus
*Monday through Friday however hours vary between 8am-8pm shifts.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Medical Content
Positon Summary:
The Editor-in-Chief, Medical Content is an executive-level position whose succession or position is chosen at the discretion of the Gold Standard (GS) Senior Management Team, with input from other stakeholders in Elsevier Health Sciences. The Medical Editor-in-Chief is directly responsible for the content production of FirstCONSULT and provides input and direction to derivative products (e.g., Order Sets). The products are aimed primarily at the physician market for clinical decision support (CDS). The MEIC serves as the internal and external representative, or voice, of the credibility and integrity of the medical clinical content in the GS knowledge-bases. The MEIC is the authority on medical topic information as it relates to current medical practice, and ensures adherence to journalistic principles and ethics relating to such information. Traditional editorial functions include proactively researching, writing, editing, and delivering clinically-driven, evidence- and experience- based medical information via databases that feed end-user products. The MEIC ensures that the clinical content evolves to meet the vision for innovative client solutions and the expansion of the business. The MEIC directly contributes to product strategy as required.
Requirements:
- Licensed health care professional with advanced clinical degree (e.g., M.D.) required. A residency and/or fellowship, and 3-5 years clinical practice experience post-residency is required. Preferentially desire a person with broad based clinical practice experience (e.g., Internal Medicine) vs. a highly specialized area of practice (e.g., Oncology).
- Board certification or other recognized clinical certification is required.
- Training or background in epidemiology/evidence-based medicine (EBM)/biostatistics is preferred.
- Essential skills include a proven aptitude for clinical literature evaluation, medical writing, and editing. Must have passion for work in the medical informatics field in particular.
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of national issues impacting healthcare delivery and medicine, and a working knowledge of national standards and guidelines affecting the delivery of clinical content and decision support in computer platforms. Must have a working knowledge of the medical information market and issues which affect that market.
- If promoted internally from the organization, a minimum of 5-years full-time work experience with a clinical editorial team is preferred, with previous attainment of a Senior Editorial position or higher, preferably with Managing Editor experience. Alternatively, the Medical Editor-in-Chief should have similar experience within the industry. Previous medical editing experience is preferred.
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage a large team of telecommuting, professional employees or contributors.
- Must enjoy a fast paced environment and be capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, with an emphasis on project and workload coordination.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and a customer-oriented focus.
- Must be able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other GS/ELS or client cross-functional teams.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills [e.g., word processing, ability to easily perform web-based biomedical research, understanding of computer information databases, such as electronic health records (EHRs).]

Director, Drug Product Data
Position Summary:
The Director, Drug Product Data is responsible for oversight and direction of the Drug Product Team. The Director, Drug Product Data will also oversee the continued development and maintenance of the Alchemy classification systems, and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical decision support modules.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of project and people management experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial drug database and their implementation systems
- Extensive experience with pharmacy claims data analysis using commercial drug databases with an understanding of how drugs are aggregated for analytical purposes
- Strong analytical experience, with working knowledge of SQL and database entity relationship diagrams (ERDs)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and a customer-oriented focus
- Motivation to work in a fast paced environment; must be capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines efficiently
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the Drug Product team and other Gold Standard or client cross-functional team

Senior Information Architect
Position Summary:
This position exists to design user interfaces via collaboration across multi-disciplined teams for global markets. IA will employ UCD methodologies to develop an understanding of user goals and tasks. IA also maintains an awareness of competing products and current user interface standards. Major emphasis on providing leadership and mentoring to other Information Architect colleagues.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Human Factors Engineering or Psychology (or other related field) required; completion of Masters-level coursework in Human Factors Engineering or Psychology (or other related field) required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience and expertise in web-based user interface design and evaluation methods.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, or related field, with most recent experience in web design.
