A new version of the Gold Standard Drug Database (formerly Alchemy) was released on Friday, October 28. Enhancements include Level of Evidence (LOE) ratings and strength of recommendation for oncology off-label use determinations, as well as a Pregnancy and Lactation module.
In our ongoing response to customer feedback and industry changes, the Gold Standard Drug Database (GSDD) development and support teams have built significant enhancements. GSDD version 4.0 will provide users with the following enhancements:
New Clinical Decision Support Modules
- Pregnancy and Lactation (PNL)
- PNL with Alternate Drugs
- PNL by Diagnosis
- PNL by Drug
- PNL by Classification
- PNL by Screening
- API and exportable
- Level of Evidence
- Adds an additional attribute to the label status
- API and exportable
Renamed Tables and Columns
- In support the name change to Gold Standard Drug Database from Alchemy Drug database, table and column names that used “Alchemy” in the exported files have been renamed.
Changes to Package Export File
- Removed PackageIdentifierType column
- Renamed PackageIdentifier column name to NDC10
- Renamed FormattedPackageIdentifier column name to NDC11
- Added 4 new columns: UPC, NHRIC, GTIN-14, GTIN-12, PIN
- Removed ReplacedByAlchemyPackageID column
Allergy API Module Enhancement
- An enhancement for in the screening functionality of the Allergy API allows for the base ingredient to be used as an input to the API call which screens all the associated ingredients.
Gold Standard Drug Database version 4.0 is now available to download via the FTP site.
